Thank you for your interest in Phlebotomy Education Inc.- "Teaching the Art of Professional Blood Collection since 2000".  Join the hundreds of phlebotomists that are now working in the medical field after completing our program.
Phlebotomy Education Inc. (PEI) is a State Licensed Phlebotomy School ( with Registered Healthcare Instructors teaching the course.  PEI is accredited through the National Healthcareer Association .  We teach phlebotomy to medical professionals and non-medical clients. Our schedules are on-going throughout the year. This is a certificate program; successful students will receive a certificate of completion of formal phlebotomy training, preparing them for entry level phlebotomy positions. Phlebotomy book and supplies are included in the cost.
Phlebotomy Education is widely recognized for the strict guidelines of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (formerly known as NCCLS).  A student will learn how to palpate veins, select proper supplies, confidently prepare the patient and self for the venipuncture and successfully collect the specimen. Real blood draws are performed in class.
Our students are prepared to complete a clinical externship after the education at a medical facility on real patients, with real tests and real expectations. Not on your friends and family members.
We have been training the medical professionals for over 10 years as a school.  We are Nationally Certified phlebotomists teaching phlebotomy to nurses, paramedics, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, cardiologists, perfusionists, pharmacists, visiting nurses association, radiologists and many other highly qualified medical professionals.  For these types of medical professionals we can arrange a class that would suit the needs of your facility with a 6 hour course designed around the facilities needs.
Phlebotomy Education Inc. is a CLSI (Clinical and Laboratoy Standards Institute) based school. We are also an approved NHA (National Healthcare Association) school and testing site.  Students will learn how to collect specimens from the finger for point-of-care testing, and draws from the top of the hand. Understanding why certain locations should be avoided, the importance of the CLSI order of draw, leaving a tourniquet on no longer than one minute are just some of the reasons why more medical professionals are choosing to become educated with proper training. Important information regarding how to avoid hurting the patient, understanding the risks of nerve damage if not properly trained and how to avoid litigation is imperative and also obtained in any of these courses.  Please contact us at (313) 382-3857 for more information.
