Phlebotomy Education Inc. is a CLSI (Clinical and Laboratoy Standards Institute) based school. We are also an approved and accredited NHA (National Healthcare Association) school and testing site.
Students will learn how to collect specimens from the finger for point-of-care testing, and draws from the top of the hand. Understanding why certain locations should be avoided, the importance of the CLSI order of draw, leaving a tourniquet on no longer than one minute are just some of the reasons why more medical professionals are choosing to become educated with proper training. Important information regarding how to avoid hurting the patient, understanding the risks of nerve damage if not properly trained and how to avoid litigation is imperative and also obtained in any of these courses.
